YouTube channel and Blog Fall Updates

Hi everyone, I have some important updates today. I would love it if you read the whole thing, but if not, please at least read the bold part at the bottom.
School has started and I won't have as much time to upload videos or write blog posts.
I am taking all honors classes this year and that means more work. I will also need to study and work on projects on my own schedule.

Aside from all this school work, I also have friends and family to keep up with. Sometimes I hang out with friends after school whether it be at the local cafe or pizzeria, or "studying" (haha), or just texting :) School, family, and friends come first.

And on top of that, I still want to participate in clubs and my other interests. So basically, my time on the internet is going to be limited.

If you didn't want to read everything above, please read this: I will not have the time I used to and videos may come far and few between. But, I'm still here and although I may not be on as much, I am still trying to upload videos.

Thanks for everyone who helped make this past year on AGYT amazing!

Haven't I Seen You Before? : Gymnastics Set

Hi everyone, I'm trying something new today where I share a new American Girl product with you in comparison to an old AG item.
Today is...the Gymnastics Set that was released in this year Fall/Winter 2013 release and McKenna's Beam and Bar Set from GOTY 2012 McKenna's collection.

First, the older item: McKenna's Beam and Bar

This gymnastics set came with a floor beam, practice bar, plastic grips, wedge, and mat.

Now, the newer set: Gymnastics Set (MAG Collection)

This is the newer version of the set, and comes with everything that McKenna's set did. It includes all the same pieces without any modifications other than color. This set could be McKenna's Beam and Bar set's twin!

Why I Think This Happened:
American Girl is, of course, a company who's "main goal" is to make money through sales. So when something is popular, like McKenna's Beam and Bar set was, it makes sense to use this information in developing future products. McKenna's set was back ordered a lot last year since it was so popular. Now, people who didn't get the chance to buy McKenna's, can get this one.

My Opinion:
I think this set will be very popular and sell well. I don't think I'll get this, since I don't do gymnastics anymore and I don't really have an interest in it. It's such a large piece, and I've been trying not to buy an large sets that I will regret purchasing and won't have enough space for. But it's very cute :)

So what do you think? Will you be purchasing this new set or did you prefer McKenna's Beam and Bar set?
Also, would you like to see more of these type of posts? Let me know in the comments below :)

How To: Hat Curls on Your Doll

Hi everyone, today's post is about creating cute curls in your dolls hair using basic items. This hairstyle works best on dolls with wavy hair, to add extra "flounce", or to restore curls in your dolls hair.
Here's how...
Example of the Pinned Hair

You'll need:
Doll-Sized hat (If you don't own one try using one of your own clean socks)
Hair Pins or Hair Clips (mini jaw clips work best)
Your Doll
Doll Brush
Spray Bottle with water (Optional)

Instructions:
1. Brush out your dolls hair until it's tangle free.
2. Take small sections and twist them until it starts coiling over on itself.
3. Hold the coil close to your doll's head and secure with a clip or pin.
4. Repeat with the rest of your doll's hair.
All coiled up it will look like this...
5. Lightly spray the hair with water
6. Place the hat/sock over the curls to help them stay in place
7. Let set until all the hair is dry or at least 30 minutes
8. Remove the hat and undo the curls!

I hope you enjoyed this :)

Returning to my Blog

Hi everyone, lately it seems I've been neglecting this blog! I haven't been on to post anything or update the design so I'm sorry about that. I'm on my YouTube account much more than my blog. One of my favorite bloggers left her blog a while ago and that's gotten me out of blogging since her amazing blog inspired me to create my own. But I really want to get back into blogging and I can add my own pictures now which I'm sure will make all of the posts a lot better.
That's all for now, but I'm ready to begin blogging again!

Going to the AG Place!

I am going to the AG Place in 2 weeks and I'm very excited. I love seeing the outfits and accessories in person and getting my doll's hair done at the Salon. I will be sure to take lots of pictures and videos when I'm there. I am going to make an opening video of everything I get there.
I will be attending the early movie viewing event of Saige Paints the Sky and will be eating at the Cafe when I go. Aside from that, I'll browse around the store and take lots of pictures of the new products. I have a list of what I plan to get when I'm there. If you haven't seen already seen, Doll Diaries has a post of the new items coming out: http://dolldiaries.com/more-new-ag-items-at-columbus-store/

So as a plan of what I'm doing at the store:
Shopping/Browsing
Taking Pictures and Videos
Eating at the Cafe
Doll Hair Salon
Early Viewing Movie Event

Also, stay tuned for posts on summer and what I've planned. Thanks for 700+ subscribers on YouTube! :)

Baking Table & Treats Review

Hi AG Lovers,
I made a video that reviewed the Baking Table + Treats and the Baking Accessories Set. The Baking Accessories are now retired but the Table is still available for $85.
Here is the video:

I love this set and think that it's worth the money, I was fortunate enough to get it on sale on AG's website. I have had mine for a year and a half and it's still in great condition and has held up very well. There aren't any chips in the paint or anything and it's very sturdy.
The treats that come with the set are realistic and great to set up scenes and use in fun videos.

Baking Table & Treats
Rating:  ***** (5/5 Stars)

Baking Accessories
Rating: ***** (5/5 Stars)

Overall, I definitely recommend these! Thanks for watching and reading. If you have any questions about the set you can leave a comment. Let me know if you have this or want this item, I love reading your comments :)

Happier Updates!

Hi everyone,
So my last post included some updates about my channel (Read it here: http://ag4ever365.blogspot.com/2013/04/important-new-and-updates.html)

Since posting this, I've decided to do something a little different. Instead of not uploading any videos until May 28th, what I'm going to do is continue uploading but only when I feel inspired to do so. So this may mean that videos won't come as frequently but I will actually be uploading a few new videos in the next two weeks.

You can also expect a fun stop motion next week! My friend is coming over this weekend and we are making a video together so that should be up soon. And there will be another video after that. So I hope that this brings more good news!

Even though I may not be as interested in dolls as I used to be, I actually really enjoy video making so I'll continue to post new videos.
Thanks for reading and I'll see you soon in a new video :)

Important Updates

Today's post is going to be an honest and open post about my channel and doll interest.
First, I want to say that no matter what happens, my channel and blog won't be deleted.

Now, onto the actual news...
Lately I've been noticing that I'm not as interested in dolls as I used to be. I haven't had the inspiration that I used to when I made a video or wrote a blog post. I don't really know why I've felt like this but I just have. I might be done making videos, at least for now. The last time I uploaded was March 2nd and I took the actual pictures in February, since then I haven't been excited to film AG videos.

What I have decided to do is take a break from filming for a while. I'll still log into my channel sometimes but I won't upload anything. On May 28th, a month from now, I'll make a decision on whether I'm coming back or not. So please bare with me until then. If I decide not to come back, I'll leave all my videos up, and I want to thank all of you for supporting me in this wonderful experience! I've made some friends and I'll never forget AGTube. I know that my username is "AG4ever365", when I created it I thought I would 'love' dolls forever. But I realized that no matter what, I'll never forget dolls and AGTube will always hold a special place in my heart - forever. So thanks for being here and reading this.
You can always send me a message on YouTube.

Spring is Here!

Heyy American Girl Lovers! Spring is finally here and it's one of my favorite times of year! I have many exciting things planned for spring this year including a brand new series on my channel! I'll also be celebrating one year on my blog and YouTube later this spring as well. So here's a sneak peek of what's to come :)

1. Series - My series should come out in April or May and I'll upload an episode once a week. I'm really excited for it and hint: it's fashion related :)

2. One Year on Youtube/My Blog - For YouTube, this will be in April and for my Blog, in May. I'm so thankful for all of your support and have a fun surprise video planned!

3. Updated Doll Collection - I have decided to not keep Kit and Ruthie in my doll collection because I really didn't "connect" with them or anything. So I will have Julie, Zoe, Marie-Grace, Cécile, and Saige.

So I just wanted to let you know about these updates and thanks for reading/commenting! :)

New American Girl Items for Spring 2013

Heyy AG Lovers! American Girl has come out with new things today :)
Here are all of the new items and some of my opinions on them. There are four new Historical items. Two for Caroline and two for Molly. There are also new MAG clothing and accessories out. Let's get started!

Sweet Spring Dress for Dolls + Charm

I really like this outfit a lot and think it 's super cute! It costs $30.

Plaid Party Dress for Dolls + Charm

This is a plaid dress with shoes and a hair clip. I like the design and love all the new doll dresses since I have one and would like to get some more. It costs $30.

Cycling Outfit + Charm
This is a new sports outfit for bicycle riding (there's also a doll bike you'll see later in this post!). I think it's great AG has a wide variety of outfits for different activities. It costs $28, which is less expensive than many of their sports outfits.

Easy Breezy Outfit + Charm

This is one of my favorite outfits they released! I know that some people will look at it and think "Really?" but I love fun summery outfits that cheer me up :) Where I live we've had 3 snow days so far and there's snow on the ground right now so this outfit gets me excited for spring :D It costs $28.

Lots of Dots Bath Wrap + Charm

A new bath robe for your dolls covered in fun polka-dots. It has the robe, slippers, and headband. This is $24.

Now I'll show the MAG accessories/furniture.

Trail Bike

This is bike I mentioned earlier. I think it's looks so much fun and would be awesome in videos! It does cost $100, but I think it's still super cute.

Pet Trailer

This is the Pet Trailer which can attach to the Trail Bike or be used separately with the handle. The wheels roll and the opening roll's up as shown in the picture. It costs $48 and is sold separately from the bike.

Styling Chair

This is the updated version of the Doll Salon Chair. There was a blue one before this. It's the same as the other one but pink. It costs $60.

Starry Doll Holder

This is a clear doll holder that can attach to a wall or door. It holds your doll under her arms with the metal hooks. It costs $24.

Happy Birthday Set

This is a really adorable new set for your doll's birthday :)  I love the little accessories it comes with and the colors are so bright and happy. It costs $42.

Pet Party Set

This set is for a pet party. The toy ball fits in the box and the dog bone shaped "cake" is really cute. I like the party hat :)  It is $20.

Those are all the MAG things! Now I'll show you the Historical items.

Caroline's Work Dress

This is a new dress for Caroline that features the dress, bonnet, and shoes. It costs $32.

Caroline's Calf, Garnet

This is Garnet (Caroline's baby cow). She has a rope halter on her. This costs $28.

Molly's Floral Pajamas for Dolls

This is a limited edition pajama set for Molly. They also come with slippers. I don't know how long this will be available but since it says limited edition, if you like it I would get it as soon as you can. It costs $24.

Molly's Bed and Bedding

Her bed is another limited edition item. This features the bed, bedspread, mattress, and pillow. It costs $94. Again, if you like this, try to get it as early as you can.
*I also want to mention that last year, Cecile & Marie-Grace had two limited edition outfits and a table that came out in February 2012. They were retired in December 2012, so if Molly follows the same pattern you will have some time to get them. It all depends on how many they make and how popular it is though. They could sell out faster but I wanted to note this bit of information. *

I hope you enjoy this post and the new AG things! Let me know what you like/your opinions on the new AG release down below.
Thanks for reading/commenting :)

Doll Craft Tutorials Recap

Heyy AG fans, a while ago I had done a few videos on how to make the things that come in the Doll Craft Kit from American Girl. Since several people requested more of them, I decided to start making them again! Here's the "update" video I made about them.
A tutorial will be posted within the next two week and from then on I will post them once every two weeks or so. I upload videos weekly, but I don't want every new video to be a Doll Crafts one so I'll will only upload those with a different video for some variety.

Thanks for reading/watching/commenting!

Zoe is back from the Doll Hospital

Heyy AG Lovers! I got Zoe back from the Doll Hospital on January 17. I uploaded this video on the 20th and here it is :)
I sent Zoe in because her hair was frizzy and lost some of the wave it had. After I brought her to Ireland {in August} it was so windy there and her hair became more frizzy so I decided to save the money and send her in. Now, I'm so excited to have her back and know so much more about caring for doll's hair. This is a video of me opening her when she came back.

Hope you enjoyed! Thanks for watching/commenting :)

New Series Insider Info #1

Heyy AG Lovers! I'm going to be doing these "Insider Info" posts about my new series coming in March. This weekend I'm going to finish up sets and possibly start filming. The next 2-3 weekends I will also be filming. For the weekend after that I will edit and then in mid-late March upload the first episode. I may do a trailer or preview type video and if I do that will be up in  March.
Now about the series itself...the main idea of this series is...fashion!
Thanks for reading this post and commenting! :)
Also, let me know if you like this new blog design. I may change the top tabs to a different font but I'm not sure yet.

A Few Updates

Heyy AG Lovers! Today I have a few things to share with you.

  • I'm saving up for a new camera. If my plans work out I should be able to get it the end of this year, which seems like a really long time from now, but it will be worth it. I'm going back and forth between the Canon Rebel t3i and the t4i. I went to Best Buy with my family few weekends ago and one of the employees explained the differences between them to me. I'm leaning towards the t4i based on what she told me and the research I've done in the past couple months. Anyway, my goal is to get the camera by November/December 2013.
  • I'm doing a "blog design makeover". I would like to put in a banner at the top with a picture/pictures. I'm also changing up the design as well so expect to see some changes. I may add another page like a  Q&A as well.
  • I will be making a doll room/house soon. I don't really want one of those doll house with the cubes because you can only arrange things and you can't really be in there to move things around, also it's harder to film in a box. I plan on making more of a "shelf" type house with large shelves in my closet replacing the plasticy shelves I have in there now. My doll room is in a corner of my room on the floor and the shelves in my closet. I have one of my closet doors removed to create a connection between the two spaces but I would like to make shelves that are taller so my dolls can stand up comfortably. I will probably start this project in March, because I want to film my series first so I can set something up without being busy rearranging and building other things.
  • On my YouTube channel, I'm making a series that will begin in spring. So this will take up a good part of my weekends for about 1 month.. I'll be busy filming and editing but I'm super excited for it :) I can't really say what it's about yet but a future post will tell more information when I get closer to actually uploading the first episode.
  • So that's pretty much it for updates. Thanks so much for reading! :D

All My Dolls: Video and Descriptions

Heyy guys! Today I will be showing you all of my dolls :)  I linked my video that was on YouTube here and there are also descriptions of each below the video.

My "All My Dolls" Video

Doll Names and Descriptions.

Julie (Marie) Albright - I got Julie as my first doll. She's the Historical Character from 1974. I don't have any of her collection, so I am using her as a modern doll. If I get any of her collection in the future when I save up some more money I may also have her be a Historical and modern in my videos.

Zoe - I still need a last name for her....Comment ideas down below! I got Zoe in 2010. She is MAG #49 and is super gorgeous :) Her favorite thing to do is bake.

Cécile (Amélie) Rey - Cécile was my third doll and I got her for Christmas in 2011. She's the Historical Character of 1853. I'm keeping her as a Historical.

Marie-Grace (Rousseau) Gardner - Marie-Grace is the Historical Character of 1853 along with Cécile. I got her in January 2012. I am also keeping her as a Historical.

Kit Kittredge - I got Kit for my birthday. She is from 1934 during the Great Depression. I'm going to probably make her a modern doll, but I may switch back to Historical sometimes. I may be re-naming her but I don't know yet.

Ruthie Smithens - I got Ruthie along with Kit for my birthday, she's also from 1934. I am also making Ruthie a modern doll/Historical sometimes. I haven't decided what her personality will be yet. I may be re-naming her

Saige Copeland - I purchased Saige with my own money on January 1st 2013 at the American Girl Place :) She's super pretty and my first GOTY doll.

If you have name suggestions for Kit and/or Ruthie please leave them below. Thanks for reading/commenting!

New Series Coming Spring 2013

Heyy AG Lovers! Today I'm updating you on my new series. I've written about 1/4 of it so far and hope to finish the story line by February. I have all the characters and the dolls playing the parts worked out. I want to finish filming all of the episodes before I upload any. I plan to edit them as I go but I really want to get everything filmed ahead of time that way while I'm uploading the episodes I have time to make other videos that aren't part of the series. A preview/trailer type video will probably be uploaded in March. The first episode will be up in late March or early April. I will then upload every week. More posts like this in the future :)
Thanks for reading/commenting!

My MAG Dream Wishlist

Heyy AG Lovers! I put together a dream wishlist for all of the MAG things. I'm not getting all these items, if any, and won't be getting anything from AG until (at least!) February.
I put them into categories.
Clothing
Sweet Savannah Dress

I love the ruffled part on the front and the whole outfit's very fashionable.

Soft-as-Snow Outfit & Earmuffs

I love the sweater in this outfit and it's just so cute!

Butterfly Garden PJ's for Dolls + Charm  and  Garden Robe & Pillow for Dolls

These pajamas are so cute and I love the matching robe and pillow.

Accessories
Salon Styling Caddy

I love styling my dolls hair and trying out new hairstyles so this caddy would be so much fun to have. I've wanted it for a while and I think in my next MAG purchase, I may get this one.

Coconut

She's just so cute!

Service Dog Set

I love this set and how it has the vest and handle. I also love Chocolate Chip, the dog this set comes with.

Furniture:
Baby Grand Piano

I play the piano and this gorgeous piano would be perfect so my doll could have one as well, although my piano is not a baby grand! :)

Dreamy Daybed & Bedding

I'd love to have a bed for my dolls at some point in time and this one's very colorful and I love the design.

Dreamy Nightstand Set

This is so cute and matches the bed above :)

So I think that's pretty much it :) I basically went through the website and looked at different items that I might want. I might now have seen the whole website but this is what I found.
So what's on your dream wishlist? Let me know down below in the comments.
Thanks for reading/commenting!
